“We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.”  Those words of Malala Yousafzai would definitely find resonance with any rational being around; these sentiments that accentuate the inevitability of taking each and every one along to ensure a steadfast march ahead on the path of progress. But this seems a far-fetched fancy when one looks at the current condition of women folk all around the globe, who are still grappling with plethora of injustices and discrimination inflicted upon them by society at large.

Sensitizing the children about the heinous crimes against women that persist in the society and their perilous consequences that would surface if they do not cease to exist; the workshop stunned the students out of their inertia in gender perspective. The 2 hour session included forum theatre, which saw keen participation from maximum number of children, who readily grabbed the opportunity to voice their views on the issue.  Riveting dance performance put up by the volunteers just served as icing on the cake, that further strengthened their resolve of establishing ‘Santulan’ in the society.
