On the occasion of the auspicious festival Raksha bandhan, DJJS Sanrakshan organized a unique program for nature protection at its ashram in Lok Vihar colony, Rudrapur. The program was initiated with the pious Yagya- the traditional Indian fire ritual, a psycho- social tool crafted by our sages for rebuilding human- nature relationship. Where on one hand it aimed at offering prayers to God, deeply rooted in the ritual was betterment of environment.

After the Yagya, Sadhvi Kapila Bharti Ji, disciple of H.H. Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, enlightened everyone about the role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. She explained how trees make the survival of all life forms on Earth possible by providing oxygen and saving them from other natural & man-made environmental events. She termed them as true saviours and urged everyone to protect them.

With such considerate feelings for nature, Tree plantation (Peepal & Neem saplings) was undertaken in the Ashram garden and observed Raksha Bandhan by tying threads of love and compassion to trees that are the real saviours. Moreover, they took a pledge to stay committed for nature protection and encouraged all the devotees present there for tree plantation and their maintenance.
