A two day empowering and energizing Yoga Camp - ‘विलक्षण योग शिविर’ was organized by Sirsa branch of DJJS at Papiha Park, Near Model Town, Distt.-Fatehabad in Haryana on 20th and 21st May 2017. Under the divine guidance of the founder and head of the organization His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, DJJS has been organizing ‘Vilakshan Yog Shivirs’  free of cost, to create awareness and encourage practice of Yoga amongst people as the indigenous manner of healthy lifestyle.

Promotion of the aforementioned free of cost Yoga camp was done through local newspapers and banners on prime locations. One week prior to Yoga camp, a team of DJJS volunteers got into canvasing and distribution of pamphlets.

 The honorable guest Sh. Darshan Nagpal, Chairman of Municipal Committee inaugurated the camp with lamp lightening along with other eminent guests Ex-President of ‘Vyapar Mandal’ Sh.Rohtash Sahu; President of Manhor Lal Memorial College Fatehabad, Sh. Rajiv Batra; Councilor of Distt. Fatehabad, Sh. Raj Kumar Saini and Sh. Dharmchand Mehta & Smt. Manju Chopra.       

DJJS Sirsa organizes ‘Vilakshan Yog Shivir’

Yogacharya Swami Vigayanand ji, an adept in yoga and a disciple of head and founder of DJJS – Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, undertook Yogasanas and Pranayama sessions along with his team. Over the three hour long Yoga session, the participants in the camp were taught basic Yogasana and Pranayama techniques such as Shavasana, Padmasana, Uthita padmasana, Dhanurasan, Vajrasan, Suryanamskar, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Chakrasana, Shalabasana, Shirsasan, and Swastikasan. Bhastrika, Anuloma-Viloma, Kapalbhati, Bhramri, Sitlee, Sitkari, Ujjayi, Jalandhara Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Mula Bandha. Swami Vigayanand ji enlightened people on how Yoga and Pranayama practices along with meditation are important for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He also told that Yogic practice not only promote good health but also manages and combat various chronic diseases and common ailments. The session ended with Om chanting and recitation of mantras such as ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ and ‘Shanti Path’ (peace prayer) seeking health, peace and harmony for all.

A total of 470 people comprising 150 men, 170 women and 50 children participated and rejuvenated with Yoga in the consecutive two day-yoga camp. There was an over whelming response from the participants. The event got huge media coverage in newspapers -Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala, Punjab Kesari, Fatehabad Kesari, Hissar-Sirsa Bhumi, Jagran City.
