Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized a unique spiritual event of Shri Ram Katha in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh from 19th to 25th January, 2016.The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of people in large number.
The purpose behind the recitation of Ram Katha is to impart the knowledge given in Shriramcharitmanas, written by Tulsidas to unravel the hidden meaning contained in the divine text.
The Katha Vyas Sadhvi Padamhasta Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji , beautifully elaborated the life and deeds of the supreme power –Lord Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu .She gave incidences from the life of characters in Ramcharitmanas, acquainting the audiences with the gifts of Devotion(Bhakti), Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan) and Salvation (Mukti). She encapsulated this by reciting a shloka “bade bhagmanus tan pava, surdurlabh sab granthingava”; Only humans have been given the principle and power of wisdom and deed by the lord’s grace. The sole purpose of human life is to do the supreme work- attain bhakti, gyan and mukti from the cycles of life and death.
The discourse was accompanied by devotional and soulful bhajans. The audience could be seen completely immersed.
Katha also showcased an exhibition showing different social projects run by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the divine guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji such as , Antarkranti (prison reformation program), Manthan (holistic education program for the underprivileged), PEACE workshops, Bodh (drug de-addiction program), Santulan (women empowerment program).
The last two days of the program also saw a large number of people being initiated into Brahm Gyan. On the whole, the Katha proved to be a powerful medium of familiarizing the masses with the dire need to transform themselves by attaining Brahm Gyan.
