In Ayurveda, it is beautifully written, ‘If your diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. If your diet is correct, medicine is of no need.’ In today’s time, somewhere people have lost touch with their roots and healthy lifestyle. In the fast-paced world, people have grown closer to processed food. The diet that keeps our mind, body, and soul perfectly synchronized is long lost.
To revive the healthy lifestyle, Aarogya - The Holistic Health Program of DJJS under its series of health workshops reached out to thousands under the theme ‘Empower Your Food’. The agenda of these workshops was to help people develop appropriate dietary patterns to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
During these health workshops, Aarogya emphasised ways to empower our food for a healthy body. The team of DJJS Aarogya shared how the right food should be consumed at the right time in the right manner to help an individual stay healthy. The scientific reasons for food and dietary habits were shared during these workshops.
In the last 3 months from May-July, DJJS Aarogya organised 20 health workshops across 6 states- Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and Karnataka reaching out to a total of 3,118 beneficiaries.
- In Maharashtra 11 workshops were organised in Amravati, Chakan, Latur and Pathardi from May 5 to June 14, benefitting 1,823 people.
- In Uttar Pradesh 5 workshops were organised in Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Noida from May 17 to June 24, benefitting 970 people.

“Empower your food” turned out to be a hard-hitting theme of the workshop that motivated the beneficiaries to revisit their food habits and adopt healthy food choices. The participants expressed their token of appreciation for these workshops and requested the organising team to keep coming up with these exciting themes in future.
We are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to the masses to develop these life changing habits and adhere to a healthy living.
