In the second week of this month of March, sarai neem village in Etah District has also been covered under the ongoing campaign ‘Nirnay’ for establishing drug free Uttar Pradesh. A series of events were kicked off via the commencement of rally with 140 students from chandraprabha mahavidhyalya covering the area of approximately 2 kms at a stretch including the most affected areas within the village. Various eminent personalities and politicians from the village flagged off the rally along with their motivational words for the students. Holding the play cards in their hands along with shouting slogans, the students highlighted upon the message of opting for an exclusive lifestyle free from drugs/intoxicants, for the issue not only affects drug abusers, but their relatives, family and the society at large. The very next day, an awareness workshop was also organised for the students of the school along with teachers and the school authorities. Women's meetings, educative activities with the section of youth, productive sessions on healthy life style without drugs were some of the activities held within the premises of the village catering to different sections and all age groups.
