Diwali is the festival of lights. It signifies the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. It is celebrated every year in India to symbolize the victory of good over evil. Manthan-SVK celebrates this event every year as well signifying the value of knowledge being provided to the underprivileged children of the society under their initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan. This year as well, Manthan-SVK celebrated Diwali at all it’s centres. All the centres celebrated Diwali in an Eco friendly manner with rangoli making and rallies along with prayers in lotus feet of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who is the head and founder of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan.
On 25th October 2019, Diwali rally was conducted at Gopal Nagar, Ludhiana, Punjab in which Mr. Ravi Gandhi, Advocate Rakesh Bhatia, Charu and Ritu Jain were the esteemed Chief guests. Swami Prakashanand Ji and Sadhvi Rajni Bharti Ji were present to represent Manthan. A total of 100 students were a part of the event held from 10 to 11.30 am. The rally was flagged off by the Chief guests. Swami Ji stated that while celebrating Diwali, we should also be sensitive towards our environment. He encouraged the celebration of green and Eco friendly Diwali along with planting of trees as a good initiative. He encouraged everyone to plant at least one tree each. The students also motivated the surrounding area through their slogans. All the guests also pledged to celebrate green Diwali. On the same day, similar event was held in Ashok Nagar, Ludhiana, Punjab from 3-4 pm with 45 children. Members of Nari Shakti Jagran Samiti such as Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur, Mrs. Rajni, Mrs. Sonia, Mrs. Harpal Kaur, Mrs. Jyoti, Mrs. Renu, Mrs. Sudha, Mrs. Anita, Mrs. Sunita celebrated the event with Manthan students by distributing sweets and fruits. They appreciated the efforts of Manthan and pledged to be a part of organization in future. On 23rd October 2019, Diwali was also celebrated in Gopal Nagar, Ludhiana, Punjab school from 9-10 am with 100 students. Mrs Simmi Chopra Pashan (President, Ek Aas Women helpline, NGO) and other members were present as Chief guests. Sadhvi Neerja Bharti Ji and Sadhvi Rajni Bharti Ji were also present. Guests distributed tiffins, fruits and other eatable to the students. Students recited the poems for the guests. Guests appreciated the skills of the students and encouraged them. All the other centres also celebrated the festival with full enthusiasm and realized the real gist of the festival.
