Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan(DJJS) organised Shri Ram Katha under the Divine guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, founder and head of DJJS, at Bikaner, Rajasthan from 26 Dec 2017 to 01 Jan 2018. Sadhvi Saumya Bharti Ji, who was the orator, explained how Lord Rama’s life can serve as an inspiration to resolve the challenges faced by society today.
The Katha commenced with inspiring and melodious devotional bhajans. Sadhvi Ji took the audiences through the magical journey of Lord Rama’s life, highlighting his personality and the values that made him one of the greatest guiding personalities of all times.
Lord Rama was born to the king of Ayodhya, Dashratha, in the Treta Yug. What made him so special that his story is still read across the world?
His entire life was dedicated to his morals and values. He gave up his kingdom and lived in exile for 14 years and went through all the hardships and pains without ever complaining. This character of Lord Rama, teaches us so much. His patience, perseverance, his sense of justice was so unparalleled. He was and till date is seen as someone who was extremely successful and famous. He was famous not because he was the king and had all the riches of life, but because he had the courage to stand up for the right.
However, today the definition of a famous and successful person has changed. Someone who has accumulated name, fame and fortune is considered successful, even if his means are wrong and unethical.
As a result, it not just corrupts the society but also sets a wrong example for our future generations.
In this context knowing more about Lord Rama becomes more crucial. What made him an all time HERO was his extraordinary character epitomized by kindness, courage, righteousness, compassion and so on. Rama led people by example.
Even to this date he epitomizes a perfect son, husband, father, brother and a leader.
To lead a righteous life such as that of Lord Rama is real success. Though leading such a life is challenging in a world, which is full of deception, jealousy, hatred, violence, apathy, selfishness etc., but it is possible. It is possible to imbibe Lord Rama’s character, by an age old and supreme science, called ‘Brahm Gyan’ (Divine Knowledge). This Divine Knowledge can be bestowed only by a Perfect Spiritual Master. Brahm Gyan has the power to give individuals the right direction and strength to walk this path of righteousness. By the grace of a True Guru this planet can be transformed into heaven
We must all aspire to change the present narrative of the world into “Ram Rajya” i.e. Kingdom of God or Dharma Rajya, in which all the citizens lead a virtuous life, turning this planet into “Abode of God".
