Under its ‘Aarogya’ the holistic health program, Divya jyoti jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) is running more than 20 ‘SAM Ayurveda Treatment Centers’ in Punjab and Haryana.  And one such ‘SAM Ayurvedic Treatment Centre’ in Muktsar, Punjab organized a mega Ayurvedic Health Camp - निशुल्क आयुर्वेदिक स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सा शिविर in association with Nav Yug Youth Club at Guru Gobind Singh Park, Kotakpura Road on 19th March 2017 to promote Ayurveda and sensitize masses on the effectiveness of Ayurveda as a natural course of complete health & well-being.

The event was inaugurated by cutting ribbon by chief guest Sh. Harpal Singh Bedi (President, Municipal Committee, Muktsar) along with other eminent guests Sh. Goura Pathela (District Head, BJP), Sh. Baldev Sahai Garg, (Chairman Hindu Samaj Sabha), Dr. Narinder Bansal (Ex. Member of Municipal Corporation & Secretary of Aggarwal Samaj, Punjab), Sh. Tarsem Goyal, Dr. Narinder Nagpal and Swami Sukhdevanand ji ( Preacher, DJJS) , which was followed by cultural activities of dance, music and skit on “Healthy Living”. Children performed a skit depicting disadvantages of eating fast food. More than 1100 people were present in the event. On this occasion, Ayurvedacharya Jai Prakash elucidated that “Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. Ayurvedic medicines are mainly of plant origin hence consumption of Ayurvedic medicine does not produce any major adverse effect on body beside the use of allopathic medicines may cause harmful effect on kidney, liver, intestines, along with some allergic effect to skin”. Also Sadhvi Sumedha Bharti (Preacher, DJJS) elaborated on the importance of Ayurveda and natural products for the wellness of human beings to the gathering of.

A large number of health seekers from all walks of life and age visited the camp. Wide publicity of camp was done in advance in nearby vicinities by DJJS volunteers through distribution of pamphlets, announcements and door to door campaigning. Dr. Parminder Moudgil, Dr. Jai Prakash and Dr. Gyananand ji, eminent Ayurveda experts provided their consultancy and diagnosis to all registered patients at the camp. 363 people (159 men, 187 women & 19 children) reaped benefits in the form of diagnosis, consultation and ayurvedic medicines. Patients suffering with hemorrhoids and joint pains were also treated with ayurvedic measures. Special arrangements have been made in the camp for Blood test, Blood Sugar test and BP check-up. Researched Ayurvedic medicines manufactured by SAM Ayurveda Pharmacy, Nurmahal were also provided to patients at concessional price. A stall displaying Ayurvedic OTC products were also placed at the camp for the ease of the patients.
