An exhibition cum signature campaign was organized at C T Institutions in order for urging the people to desist from using drugs and opt for a healthy way of living. Through informative posters and flyers, Bodh, the drug abuse eradication program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, showcased the ill effects of alcohol, smoking and other harder drugs. Much to the surprise of all, the students visiting the exhibition left with a vow to not touch these life-risking products ever by the end of the day.
Mr. S.S Matahru, head of the department of electricals, Mr. Daljit Singh and many more from the institutions graced their presences at the exhibition area.
“Educational Institutions could play a major role in changing the scenario. These days, because of fast and busy life, parents often cannot spare time for their children. As students spend most of their time in these premises, I think programs like these at Educational Institutions could be helpful in building the character of students and capacitate their faculty of correct decision making," said Mr. S. S Matahru.
While showing the concern on the visible gravity of the problem, Mr. Daljit Singh said –
"Addiction among the youths is increasing day by day, especially in Punjab, and it will cause non-repairable loss to the society if not checked forthwith."
Students from all the departments and courses visited the exhibition and get their queries resolved through discussions and one to one counselling with the vibrant and dedicated volunteers of BODH. All the authorities and other dignitaries appreciated the program and proposed the organization to arrange more programs of this sort in future.
