Under the divine guidance of HIS Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Bengaluru branch celebrated the two day event of “Gita Jayanti” with great fervour and zeal.
Sri. S. Muniraju (MLA, Dasarahalli Assembly, Constituency), Sri. Soundarya Manjappa (Founder Soundarya Group of Instructions), Sri. Jayadeva (President Kannada Sahitya Parishat T. Dasarahalli), Smt. Sahana and Smt. Roopa, Smt. Meenakshi (Judges of Samskritha Bharathi Bengaluru), Smt. Bhavani and Smt. Geetha (Kannada Sahitya Parishat T.Dasarahalli Bengaluru) were the event highlights and the Chief Guests of the evening.
Bhagwat Gita Jayanti, or Gita Jayanti, marks the birth of the Holy book “Gita”. It is an annual celebration to commemorate the day when Lord Krishna rendered his philosophical teachings - immortalized in the epic Mahabharata.
On the first day, Prana Prathisthapana and Abhishekam were performed early in the morning along with traditional Shodopachara poojan for Lord Shree Krishna. As the day passed, various competitions such as traditional and spiritual fancy dress competition was organized for the kids in which theme of characters was related to Shree Krishna devotees, Saints, Desh Bhaktas etc. Simultaneously the recitation on Srimad Bhagavad Gita was also conducted for elders as well as kids.
Program concluded with Mahamangalarathi and Mahaprasada. The event conveyed the quintessence of Bhagwat Gita even in today’s modern world full of anxiety, fear and hostile environment.
