Glorious Tales of Divine Durga Enlighten the Masses in Jodhpur, Rajasthan

Katha began with rath yatra followed by the chanting of devotional songs and mantras to set the mood of devotees to receive the inspiring messages orated by Sadhvi Aditi Bharti Ji. She began with differentiating Dugra from other incarnations as she ended the myth that women is weaker and vulnerable section of the society. Goddess Durga emerged from the combined energies of the Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva in order to battle the demon called Mahisasura, he was awarded the boon that his death would happen only at the hands of a woman. She held thunderbolt which signifies firmness. The devotee of Durga must be firm like thunderbolt in one`s convictions. Like the thunderbolt that can break anything against which it strikes, without being affected itself, the devotee needs to attack a challenge without losing his confidence. The lotus in Durga`s hand stands for the continuous evolution of the spiritual quality of devotees amidst the worldly mud of lust and greed. The Sudarshan-Chakra signifies that the entire world is subservient to her will and is at her command. She uses this unfailing weapon to destroy evil and produce an environment conducive to the growth of righteousness. Trishul represents she is remover of all the three types of miseries - physical, mental and spiritual.

The Goddess's message to Mahisasura “Netra bane swang hanishay” means I will kill you with my divine eye. Divine eye mentioned here are not physical eyes with which we see the world but the one that opens inside to see god. Opening of that eye will lead to end of all asuras or ignorance. God is beyond our senses and thus we need third eye which is not visible but indestructible to see him and only complete perfect master can open it. Kalyug is blessed with one such master Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who imparts his disciple with ‘Brahm Gyan’ which is an eternal science of self-realization. Social challenges that we are facing like women deprivation, drug abuse, female foeticide, crime and violation can only end when we realize that all human beings are equal and children of god. Developed society includes empowering women too. We need to reshape our own perception of how we view women. We need women at all levels, including the top, to change the dynamic, reshape the conversation, to make sure women's voices are heard and heeded, not overlooked and ignored. Women are the real architects of society, within her is the power to create, nurture and transform. If women understand and exercise their power they could remake the world. Then only dream of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” can come into vision.
