At DJVM, we hold a profound belief that it is a necessity in life for one to be connected with one’s culture and value systems. This view guides us to regularly conduct workshops and sessions to help us stay connected with Bharat’s eternal moral and spiritual values.
One such workshop was recently organised from 30th January to 5th February 2022. Titled Gyananjan Shalakayaa, the virtual workshop under DJVM’s project Shukla Yajurvediya Rudra-Ashtadhyayi witnessed more than 1200 volunteers from 17 batches from all over the country. 11 preacher disciples of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji came together and conducted the workshop in a highly intellectual and interactive manner: Sadhvi Bhagirathi Bharti ji, Sadhvi Chinmaya Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Neema Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Hararchana Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Yogdivya Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Surjeeta Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Mridula Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Vedvaani Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Medini Bharti Ji, Swami Chidanand Ji, Swami Arjunanand Ji and Swami Mahadevanand Ji.
The basic theme behind the session was the recognition of the fact that Indian culture is deeply rooted in spiritual and ethical values, and unless these values find a place in the life of individuals, education will lose its entire significance. These values and spiritual foundations essentially prepare individuals to lead lives as part of their local and global community, and help them define who they are, what their contribution to the world will be and what motivations and perspective on life they have.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has rightly said, “Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.”
The session concluded by observing how important Sanskrit has been to His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, the sole inspiration and guidance behind Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir. He has always been very vocal about the significance of the divine language.
