In October 2024, DJJS Manthan SVK connected with more than 2346 students across the various DJJS branches in the country as well as worldwide through its online and offline workshops. The workshops that were conducted are as follows -
Aarogya Sanskarshala- The theme of the October 2024 Sanskarshala was one of DJJS's social initiatives Aarogya- the holistic wellness program. The Aarogya Sanskarshala aimed to instil healthy habits and holistic wellness practices among children. Tailored specifically for young minds, Aarogya Sanskarshala sessions educated children on the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual health through engaging activities and interactive learning. By integrating Aarogya into Sanskarshala, Manthan SVK aims to nurture a generation of physically fit, mentally resilient, and spiritually aware individuals who will carry forward a legacy of wellness and positivity.
Jeevan Kaushal Karyashala workshops, led by Sadhvi Aneesha Bharti Ji, were based on the topic of Coping with Stress. Through meditation, breathing exercises, and interactive activities, children were guided on how to recognize and handle their emotions effectively. By simplifying concepts of mindfulness and resilience, the program helped children build a positive outlook and develop inner strength to face daily challenges.
In the Bharat Gaurav Gatha series titled Aao Karein Bharat Ki Sair, children embarked on an exciting journey through the diverse and vibrant art forms of India. This session introduced young minds to the richness of Indian heritage, exploring traditional arts like Madhubani, Warli, Pattachitra and more. Through engaging stories, hands-on activities and colourful visuals, children learn about the historical significance, cultural values and unique techniques behind each art form. The session fostered a sense of pride and appreciation for India’s artistic heritage, encouraging children to cherish and celebrate the nation's cultural treasures.
In a Specialized Unit of Productive Work (SUPW) workshop themed on Candle Making, children delved into the art of creating beautiful, handcrafted candles. Guided by skilled instructors, they learnt about different candle types, materials and techniques, exploring the creative process from designing to pouring wax and adding colours or scents. This hands-on workshop not only enhanced their crafting skills but also instilled patience, focus, and a sense of accomplishment as they brought their ideas to life.
DJJS Manthan SVK, in a remarkable display of compassion and community spirit, organized an impactful Distribution Drive aimed at uplifting underprivileged children in the community. With a focus on enhancing their educational experience and ensuring warmth during the winter season, the organization distributed study tables, sweaters and jackets to children in need.
Parent-teacher meetings (PTM) were organized to foster stronger communication between parents and educators. The meeting provided a platform to discuss student progress, academic performance, and areas for improvement. Teachers shared insights into the holistic development of each child, while parents offered valuable feedback and support. The PTM strengthened the bond between home and school, ensuring a collaborative approach to student success.
