International Yoga Day Celebration by Manthanites

International Yoga Day which was proposed and launched by honourable Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji in 2015 with an aim to improve the lifestyle and well being by adopting the practice of Yoga in our day to day life. Since then, every year it is celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm. Manthan SVK, initiative of DJJS working under the aegis of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, dedicatedly working on building an overall character of underprivileged children through holistic education. With the integral approach, Manthan- SVK shapes the physical, mental and social persona which helps the children to understand their hidden potential.

Just like every year, Manthan-SVK also celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday 21st June’2020 which was aligned with the theme “ Yoga for Health - Yoga at Home” in order to follow norm of social distancing to fight COVID 19 pandemic. Understanding the significance of Yoga in one’s life, Manthanites also engaged and adopted the practice of Yoga and Pranayama in their daily routine.

International Yoga Day Celebration by Manthanites

Manthanites from all centres performed Yoga and Pranayama at their home with great zeal and fervour. To cleanse the mind and body Manthanites performed some significant Pranayama such as Kapal Bhati, Anulom Viloma, Bhastrika, Brahmri and Nadi Shodhan. These pranayama work as Immnuno-Boosters and also does detoxification by cleansing the prana(vital energy) in the body, not only this it proves to increase the mental concentration. Along with this Manthanites also did some particular Yoga Asanas like Vrikshasana,Taad asana, Bhujangasana, Pavan Muktasana and Surya Namaskaar. The practice of these asanas helps to improve the flexibility, strength, balance and vitality of an individual. By following these practices of Yoga and Pranayama helps to reduce the stress and anxiety and fills one with peace and happiness.

By inculcating such practices of Yoga and providing a holistic environment for the growth of an individual, Manthan-SVK provides a ground to the children to lead and live a privileged life.
