In the series of events, Bodh, The Drug Abuse Eradication Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded and headed by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji enlightened and sensitized about 300 men, 250 women and 50 children on the grave issue of drug abuse and addiction which has enslaved majority of the population of our nation. Such a marvelous event which was organised at Ramleela Ground, Bheem Nagar, Gurgaon, Haryana on the 25th of January, 2015 as a part of the workshop titled, Mukti, a step towards complete freedom unravelled the art of holistic independence which every being must imbibe as it covers all the layers of human existence, be it the body, the mind, the intellect or the soul which is one's life force.
It is often felt and observed how drug abuse and addiction has entangled the abusers and their surroundings in darkness and delusion and because of which, such people feel caged and are often seemed disturbed and depressed. In which case, drug abuse and many other life-threatening societal problems have proved that independence having acquired only at the outset cannot serve the purpose of humanity within a nation.
Taking this underlying point of view into consideration, Bodh celebrates such events of historic eminence in order to recollect and remember the sacrifices made by the revolutionaries and martyrs like Aurbindo Ghosh, Swami Vivekananda, Patriot Bhagat Singh so that the masses can be motivated to imbibe the purpose of life which is beyond than satiating one own self or family.
In the event, we conveyed how independence can only be attained when one is awakened at the level of the soul. Likewise, when a person acquires the knowledge of the self, one is then awakened at the level of one's soul. The testimonies of such spiritualists and revolutionaries which we referred to before the participants themselves spoke evidently how with the knowledge of the self alone one can derive wisdom from within in order to combat and eliminate the issue of drug abuse and many more from the society. This event has certainly marked a scope of optimism which may surely give rise to evolved and ambitious generation a head.
Bodh- the drug abuse eradication program of DJJS, works for the elimination of drug abuse and eradication of drug demand through ‘Dhyan Therapy’, thereby transforming the drug afflicted society into an abuse free society; where people are mentally, emotionally and spiritually strong to safeguard themselves and the society against drug and substance abuse.
