There are many people in society who want to bring social change and give back to society by contributing their time, money or material in different ways. To provide a channel for such positive intentions, Manthan SVK organised a Virtual Sponsors’ Meet during the celebration of Daan Utsav (The Joy of Giving Week) from 3rd to 8th October 2020.
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s Manthan SVK is not just another school programme, but it is a unique educational initiative for the overall character building of underprivileged and underperforming children of the society.
In this very special Sponsors’ Meet this year, over a hundred sponsors not just from India but from different parts of the world participated. The event gave sponsors an opportunity to meet the Manthanites virtually.
This COVID-19 pandemic became a boon for such sponsors who always had a desire to visit Manthan SVK but due to time and distance constraints, they couldn’t. During these virtual classes, some interesting activities were also organised to increase the interaction between the students and sponsors. Manthanites captivated everyone’s attention with their amazing performances. Some showed the magic of their hands in the form of paintings and some sang beautifully.
The children also shared their experiences through a new campaign called “MERA MANTHAN, MERI KAHANI”. The sponsors also shared their views on Manthan SVK and their memories with us. Teachers discussed the academic achievements of the children. A video clip was also shared on how Manthan SVK has left no stone unturned to achieve the goal of holistic education even in these unprecedented times. Along with this, the importance of charity was also highlighted by some inspiring ideas so that every unit of society could understand its responsibility towards nation building while promulgating this great culture of charity.
In the end, Manthanites thanked all the sponsors for their unique contribution. With the grace of his Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the event was successfully completed and became a wonderful and unforgettable experience for everyone.
