By education, Gandhi Ji used to mean an all round drawing of the best in the child and man in body, mind and spirit. According to him, if we want to reach real peace in this world, we should start educating the children. D.L.D.A.V Model School is one of the prestigious school following Gandhi Ji's principles. To introduce the Manthanites to the ideologies of Gandhi Ji, the school organized a visit on 16th October 2019 from 9 am to 12 pm at Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) venue. Manthan-SVK organizes many such visits for overall development of the underprivileged children of the society. 13 students from Vikas Puri centre, 6 from Rithala, 10 from Badli and 22 from Shakurpur along with 10 volunteers visited the venue.
The school introduced the students to ATL. They displayed many projects such as automatic plant watering system, home automation system and solar panels. They also described how these projects are linked to Gandhian ideologies. Separate team of 6 students each was formed and was distributed scrubber board kits. The students were explained by DAV teachers on how to assemble and use those kits. Simultaneously, students were given the equipment for indulging in drawing and painting. Then the students visited Science Park and 3D lab as well. Manthan SVK students gave thank you cards to all the teachers present and thanked them for this educational excursion. These unexpected gestures of thanks surprised the teachers and they were glad to receive them. The student also gave testimonies for the excursion which were recorded as well. All the students enjoyed this excursion and thanked the organizers for this wonderful opportunity.
