Around the world as we are entering the artificial intelligence (AI) era, what does this mean for today’s children? As the pace of change will continue to accelerate, children will definitely face a never-ending stream of opportunities of creativity and will have to think and act imaginatively. Creative activities bring joy and also a path towards human fulfilment which is an excellent opportunity for humans to be more human.

Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) is a social initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), through its holistic approach of personality development by providing value-based and free education to the underprivileged children of the society for many years. Manthan SVK, has always endeavoured to introduce its students to new experiences of life.

With this concatenation, DJJS Manthan SVK, organized an educational visit on 15th April, 2022 to the Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) at the Darbari Lal DAV Model School (D.L.D.A.V), Pitampura. D.L.D.A.V school had organized Atal Community Day and 35 Manthanites had the opportunity to participate in this celebration.

The event started with a Meet My Mentor session by Kabeer Rai Chhabra, an enthusiastic and highly skilled cyber-security learner of the University of Birmingham on the theme Cyber Safety and Innovation. The session witnessed an incredible turnout of upcoming cyber enthusiasts to understand and discuss the issues related to cyber-security with respect to artificial intelligence (AI). To promote change, it is important to help people to understand current problems and challenges, then they will be ready and motivated to work on improvements and solutions.

D.L.D.A.V school teachers and students warmly received Manthanites and introduced Manthanites to their new innovative projects and demonstrated various activities through which children could enhance their creative ideas. Overall, the session led to interactive discussions and exchange of innovative ideas amongst children. Manthanites also visited the 3-D laboratory and 3-D presentations of biology, chemistry and physics which were showcased on the screen.

The ultimate goal of Manthan SVK is to help children develop as creative thinkers, reason systematically and work collaboratively which are essential skills for everyone in today’s society.  In this way children can create new opportunities for themselves to explore, experiment and shape the world of tomorrow.
