Being in the aura of Republic day, where we all are listening the bravery stories of many children, another story is here to dazzle you. At the Speaker of the year 2015 organized by Maverick Ventures, more than 50000 students took part from different states of India. For North India Zone, The Speaker of the Year, SOTY finale event took place at Aiwan-e-Ghalib Auditorium, Mandi House on 23 January 2016 from 10am to 4pm, where around 500 students participated. It was the first time Manthan SVK partook in the event and once again provided such a big platform to its students. 26 students from Manthan SVK, Shakurpur were selected for the Finale round. The students were divided in four categories Kids Champ, Junior Champ, High School Champ and Senior Champ. The students were thrilled to participate in the event and had a lot of bright ideas on ‘Water Conservation’, the topic for SOTY 2016.

The journey of SOTY 2016 started with Manthan SVK three months ago, SOTY conducted learning and communication skills sessions for the students at the center. The moments of gladness ensued when ‘Bunty’ (student of Manthan, Kids champ) stood up at the second runner up position and glorified the name of Manthan all over the country.  The event initiated with panel discussion of each category, followed by various performances, extempore ‘Just a Minute’ as final round of selected participants and concluded with the prize distribution to winners. The four winners, one from each category, won a tablet, certificate and an internship invite from Manthan SVK. The first and second runner-up also won exciting prizes. The winners will do 15 days internship at the Manthan SVK centers and gain a handful experience to work for the social causes and upliftment of the less privileged.

The judges at the event included Surbhi Sharma, Anchor, India TV; RJ Panky, Red FM; RJ Sunny, Fever 104 FM; and Vinod Jain known as water Man of Delhi from NGO Tapas. Famous cricketer Castrol Junior Cricketer of the Year for 2011-12, CEAT Indian youngster of the year 2012 and famous author of the book “Sky is the limit; Unmukt Chand was the chief guest in the event. Also, a ten minute rejuvenating session was conducted by a member of Shiamak Davar Academy. Not only this, 10 enthusiastic volunteers from Manthan SVK contributed their day to help in the execution of the event right from registration desk to the managing of stage activities.

Very anciently we all know the power of words. Every country wants a witty, knowledgeable, convincing spokesman who can represent his nation at international level. Manthan SVK wants to see its children standing at the top level of every field. This achievement showed the path took by Manthan towards its goal is going in condign way.
