MEMR Nature Conservators tie threads of love and care to trees on Rakshabandhan 2015

"Rakshabandhan celebrates the love and duty between a brother and sister. By tying rakhi, a sister prays for the welfare of her brother and brother reiterates his commitment of protection. Trees are the protectors of humanity; they guard us from pollution, storms and heavy rains. They confer us health, climatic stability and life giving oxygen. Hence, on Rakshabandan, with the aim of re-igniting love and care for these protectors of humanity, we are tying Rakhi to trees ", informed one of the MEMR Nature Conservator.

My Earth My Responsibility has been a trend-setter in redefining Rakshabandhan as an occasion of re-establishing fading bond of protection between human and nature. With DJJS Sanrakshan led MEMR campaign, this is the second time, when Ludhiana celebrated Rakshabandhan, taking commitments to protect and conserve the trees of city.
