Children of today are the future of tomorrow. Teachers play a very important role in grooming the personality of the children. Therefore, teacher’s training on specific subjects related to child development and rights is important to cater.  One such workshop on “Child Rights and Emotional Intelligence” was organized by MEQ Academy on 16th November 2019 at Shiv palace, Vijay Vihar, for the teachers of Manthan-SVK. Mrs. Lata Singh – Founder & Director and Chetna Singh - Program Manager of MEQ Academy discussed child rights and responsibilities with the teachers through various activities, presentations and document sharing. Various activities like,  “My wish for future of the students”, “A medal for a friend”, “Color your heart” to know your emotions etc. were practically carried out to make teachers understand the concept and viability of understanding child’s emotions and rights. A presentation on “Sustainable development goals” was also shared with the teachers. In the concluding session, a book “Sanskar Shiksha” was also presented to the teachers by Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator, Manthan SVK, DJJS, which included various cultural & morals ethics that need to be included as part of the curriculum to ensure value based quality education of the students. She urged the teachers to instill these morals in the students so as to make them responsible and valued human beings. The workshop was a huge success and was appreciated by all present.
