A human body is blessed by the Lord to be one with him and it is said in our scriptures that through Selfless service, spiritual upliftment is obtained, it makes a man kind, humble, patient and helps in controlling his anger, ego, lust, materialistic attachments. Guru Granth Sahib Ji also quotes “Through selfless service eternal peace is obtained". To explain people the importance of sewa, DJJS organized a Monthly Spiritual Congregation in Kurukshetra, Haryana on 31st March 2019.
Pious Vedic mantras marked the beginning of the event followed by prayers at the lotus feet of revered Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Then began the session of bhajans by our trained musician disciples. They expressed the divinity and importance of guru in our life in the form of melodious bhajans. These bhajans mesmerized the audience and held their attention for a long span of time. Multiple preachers addressed the audience and explained the importance of sewa in human life for reaching the destination. These monthly congregations serve as a reminder for the disciples to reflect upon the divinity of his guru and how his grace is leading us to the path of true spiritualty.
In human form, one is blessed to follow the path of spirituality. Sadhvi Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji explained that Brahm Gyan makes an individual realize the importance of sewa. Though all acts of a person bear fruits, sewa is the way which completes the action and reaction forces, which means, sewa is a medium through which an individual is freed from the fruits of its deeds. This realization dawns only when an individual is imparted with Brahm Gyan.
Sadhvi Ji, mentioned that only in this garb of human, can one attain Brahm Gyan and meditate upon the divine light. There are eighty-four lakh entities in this universe and out of all, it is only the humans which are gifted to receive this boon. All living being, as an outcome of their deeds receive their body life after life. Human body is attained only when one performs good deeds as it is the highest form of thoughts and discretion.
Monthly spiritual congregations help to replenish the "Sewa and Bhakti Bhawna" of a disciple in Lord’s feet. Although generalized, the sermon speaks to each attendee mending the minds on a personal and an individual level. It serves as a reminder to walk together, faithfully, and with un-shattered determination. Following the commandments of the Master, enables one to realize the grand cosmos within and the depth of the existence. Therefore, one realizes that the drop is not merely a part of the ocean but the ocean in its entirety, holding immense practical potential. Marking the end of the event, Bhandara was organized for the masses as prasadam.
