Once again, the monthly spiritual congregation at Divya Dham Ashram, New Delhi on 4th November, 2018 invited all disciples to take out some time from this materialistic world and connect to the roots of spirituality. In today’s scenario, where we are constantly in touch with maya (materialism), it becomes difficult for us to stay connected with the Lord Almighty. And, thus it becomes vital for a disciple to devote some time in the company of saintly people. These kinds of program serve the supreme purpose every month and also play an important role in uniting the disciples via divine assembly.

The spiritual discoursers of the day infused the environment with great divinity through their insightful ideas. The program was inclusive of prudent talks on understanding the importance of divine meditation. The preacher stated that owing to ignorance, we are under the false impression that we are just a material body; but in reality, we are not the body, but the soul. Swami Vivekananda used to tell about Guru Bhakti: - “Self-knowledge has supreme range which cannot be obtained from scriptures. Even if you go to whole earth tour, real self-realization cannot be known without master’s grace at any time”. One can never find complete satisfaction and peace until he attunes himself with unconditional loyalty and devotion to the divine consciousness of his Guru. The Guru is the one who nurtures his disciples with fathomless love and ensures them his divine protection against the evils lurking in the society. Even if you are incapable and incompetent, the Guru will take you to the peaks of success and triumphs for sure.

Talking about the upcoming festival – “Diwali”, the preacher aptly said that it is not only a Cultural Festival; it is a Spiritual Opportunity, an opportunity to move one from Creational dimension to the Existential one. It illustrates the importance of lighting the lamp within us—and celebrating the festival of the light of the soul. Narakasur and Ravana represented the dark creational energies.  Krishna and Ram were glowing existential energies.  When the Energy of knowledge and Consciousness prevailed over that of ignorance, Diwali happened. It is a time to turn inward and light the lamps of knowledge and truth in our hearts and minds so that we can dispel the forces of darkness and ignorance within us and allow our innate brilliance and goodness to shine forth.
