Throughout our lives we do millions of things that we feel can make us happy and content from within but that “Happy & Content” feeling never comes. Rather, all these endeavours give us only materialistic success, making us selfish and narrow-minded. Constantly, we are being controlled by our own Sins and ultimately we forget the almighty. In such situations, we need support and the Perfect Master is the only person who can lead us in the path of Spirituality and Inner Peace. Just the way an upside-down bowl cannot be filled with water, we too cannot receive Perfect Master or Guru’s grace if we lose touch with him. That’s why we must keep the Guru-disciple relationship strong from inside.
To strengthen this relationship, DJJS organizes the monthly spiritual congregation program. One such program was held by DJJS In Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 17th Nov’19. These monthly spiritual congregations or the “Bhandaras” have significance as they strive towards spreading the significance of “Bhakti” which is the highest path to spiritual & overall upliftment, and true Bhakti is possible only when a human being surrenders himself/herself in the feet of a perfect master and attains the knowledge of “Brahm Gyan”. The program started with the chanting of Vedic Hymns, followed by motivational discourses and devotional Bhajans that worked as a jolt to uplift the spirit within, thereby providing energy to the deviated mind and the drained physical body. As the event progressed, the learned preachers of DJJS further explained the objective of Sadhana (Meditation), which is not to control our mind & thoughts, it’s to stop letting them control us. A devotee should selflessly, truly and completely surrender to his Guru and should be ready to accept all challenges thrown at his/her way. Any possible opportunity of Sewa should be delightfully seized by a Sewak because only then he/she would be able to absorb the teachings from the Guru and make his stay in this world more meaningful.
This spiritual session was aimed at building a new, celestial world, where all people dwell under the bliss-imparting shade of peace and harmony, as a single global family - a world with independent but cooperative nations working together, towards peace, security and freedom. The congregation, in meditative poise collectively prayed for human welfare and world peace. Altogether, the devotees present there experienced an upsurge in positive energy, and left the venue with faith in their hearts, joy on their faces and equanimity inside them.
