A Divine sight it was to see, and place to be last Sunday, 26th October, 2014. The devotees & followers quenched their thirst for spirituality at this monthly Bhandara Programme, as Swami Yogeshanand Ji delivered the speech on Youth, Indian Culture, Spirituality and World Peace.
If we explore our own culture, we will see that it has all the essential elements, to help us become a complete human being. But the irony is that, today our own people do not behold this fact in high esteem. And, this is quite noticeable in the current state of affairs of our country, be it social, economic or spiritual. Specifically the youth, who is deceptively engrossed within the uncultured and uncultivated life style, and devoid of basic ethical values!
In his speech, Swami Yogeshanand Ji said that today our young generation has no interest in their own rich culture & values; neither do they follow the lives & works of any of the great leaders like Swami Vivekananda, Shivaji Maratha, Chandragupt Maurya, etc. Rather, they are more inclined towards flimsy stuff with less/no moral value of its own and, making celebrities the ultimate icon of their lives.
On one such occasion Swami Vivekananda said, “We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think! Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.”
The preachers conveyed the sublime essence of divine thoughts to the devotees, with the common message of self-realization and awakening of soul. One’s True Self when awakened, eventually leads to the awakening of the society, the nation, and the entire world at large.
The program concluded with Community feeding, which marks, brotherhood, unity and integrity in the society.
