On Wednesday, 29 June 2015, DJJS Sanrakshan led My Earth My Responsibility Campaign organised a Sanrakshanvarta workshop with the Association of Retired SBI officials, Ludhiana. Over 50 members of the association including retired senior managers joined the MEMR Sanrakshanvarta to discuss the environmental issue.
Sadhvi Viresha Bharti, environment expert DJJS & preacher disciple His holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, led the discussion and elaborated the current state of environment both globally and locally. She said, “The ever deteriorating state of environment is actually the reason why nature conservation has become an issue of discussion both locally and globally. It’s high time that each one of us understands our own responsibility towards nature”. Introducing the MEMR campaign, she added, “Acquainting each one with his/ her environmental responsibility is the very motive of DJJS Sanrakshan led My Earth My Responsibility Campaign, we not only educate but we work with the actors to steer them on the path of sustainability”.
All motivated by the discussion, one of the retired officials, said, “We have put in golden years our lives in managing money, but thanks to MEMR, now we vow to put in the rest of our lives in managing the life giving nature, for the well- being of our future generations.”
In the end, Mr. Vijay Kaliya, President of the Association affirmed that we all vow to plant, nuture and care for 30 plants each in and around our residence as a first step towards warding of our environmental responsibility.
