Swami Vivekananda’s words are so very true and very rightly define religion as the direct realization of the ‘Supreme’ within oneself. This awareness and understanding of religion and how it forms the very basis of the real purpose of human life, was the crux of the 7 day long Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Katha, organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), a non-profit, NGO and a socio-spiritual organization, headed and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, at Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
Some of the chief guests who graced the occasion with their presence were- Sh. Tikshan Sood (Ex Cabinet Minister- Punjab), Sh. Shiv Sood (Mayor- Hoshiarpur), Sh. Anand Sagar Sharma (SDM- Hoshiarpur), Smt. Shukla Devi Sharma (Deputy Mayor), Sh. Amarpal Singh Kaka (President- North India Wrestling Federation), Sh. Sunder Sham Arora (MLA & Distt President- Congress Hoshiarpur) and Sh. K.C. Sharma (President- Brahman Sabha Bharat).
The program commenced with a series of bhajans, which set an inspirational and spiritual tone for the event. The spiritual discourser of the day- Sadhvi Viveka Bharti Ji profoundly explained the meaning of true religion. She beautifully articulated how a seeker of ‘Truth’ can experience the ‘Divine’ in the silent moments of deep meditation. She further explained that when a seeker witnesses the divinity within the inner chambers through the ‘Divine Eye’, that is true meditation. The perception of divine experiences within, lies at the core of religion and only a Perfect Spiritual Master can initiate a seeker into this ‘Divine Knowledge’ or ‘Brahm Gyaan’, wherein a seeker’s ‘Third Eye’ or ‘Divine Eye’ is enabled.
The event was huge success and served its purpose of creating awareness about the true meaning of religion, which is nothing but the practical realization of God within us, after which starts the amazing journey of positive transformation.
