Children are the building blocks of our future. For the development of the children, education plays a very important part in their life. Also, it is said that “At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to child’s success is the positive involvement of the parents”. For this involvement, parent teacher meetings are held at regular intervals in Manthan-SVK which is working relentlessly for the benefit of the children of the underprivileged sections of the society. Parent teacher meeting is a great opportunity for parent and teacher to develop a healthy and strong relationship for the holistic development of a child. To facilitate this relationship, parent teacher meeting were held at various centres.
Teachers discussed the performance of their child with the parents along with the importance of cleanliness in their life. Teachers also discussed the adverse effects of plastic on our environment and raised the awareness among them to avoid using plastic in their day to day life. Along with academic results discussion, awards were presented to the position holders of the class as well. The teachers discussed the behavior and academic performance of the children with their parents and also suggested various improvement categories for the benefit of the students. The highlight of the meeting was also the discussion of the teachers with the parents regarding various issues such as hygiene, regularity, punctuality and discipline. Teachers tried to explain the importance of these factors in everybody’s life. Similar meetings were held at other centres of Manthan SVK as well.
