June is a month, filled with messaging about nourishing the body with food and Yoga. Paushtik Sanskarshala is a unique workshop revolving around nurturing child health and development through fun and interactive activities organized by Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK). These sessions exclusively focused on how a healthy outside is dependent on being healthy from inside. In the month of June 2022, Manthan SVK conducted 56 workshops across the various DJJS branches in the country like Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Nehru Place, Patel Nagar, Rohini, Sector-15, Karkardooma in New Delhi, Meerut, Agra, Bareilly, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Gorakhapur, Varanasi, Shrawasti in Uttar Pradesh, Pathardi, Nagpur, Amravati, Latur, Chakan in Maharashtra, Pithoragarh, Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Dungarpur in Rajasthan, Saraipali in Chhattisgarh, Gurugram, Rewari in Haryana, Bengaluru in Karnataka and Dibrugarh in Assam, Ahmedabad in Gujrat. 2095+ children from different states participated in these workshops.
The sessions commenced with chanting shloks and Vedic mantras by the students which filled the atmosphere with utmost divinity. Explicit benefits of having healthy nutritious food and how savories only entice unhealthy eating habits were explained to the students. Self-hygiene was one another concept taught to the students. Cleanliness is the first law of health and it was also emphasized that keeping the environment clean keeps away from diseases. Manthan SVKs bustled with lively fun activities like riddles for children to better understand the objective behind conducting such workshops.
This month the world celebrated International Yoga Day. Fitness with fun – Yoga was one such activity where students thoroughly enjoyed learning simple asanas to inculcate as part of daily routine making it a practice to stay both physically and mentally fit. Apart from this, Manthan SVK volunteers addressed the health-related questions from children and guided them towards better health practices.
The workshops concluded on the note of Manthanites pledging to follow the ways of healthy living and thanked the preachers for organizing such an edifying workshop.
