Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. has been a proud corporate partner of Antarkranti (an initiative of DJJS), since last couple of years, working together for creating necessary avenues for growth and skill development amongst juveniles staying at Govt. Boys Balamandir Hosur Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Under the ‘Positive Engagement’ Project, Antarkranti, in collaboration with Intel India Pvt. Ltd. organized an inaugural event at Government Boys Balamandira, on 31st August 2016 for developing play- area for preschool children at the Balamandir. It aims at providing a positive and learning environment for juveniles. This will get them trained in various games and sports. Thereby, instilling self-confidence, discipline, fitness awareness, team building etc. among them.
The event was inaugurated by DJJS representatives, Intel leaders and Superintendent, Bala Mandir.
The children were engaged into team-building activities and games to encourage team- spirit amongst them. Then, they were enrolled into motivational talks to get them inspired towards personality development and unleashing their skills and potentialities. Games and sports equipment were also donated by Intel.
The volunteers presented an informative and enlightening skit on cleanliness and encouraged children to be an important part of ‘Bharat Swachta Mission’. 200 children and 100 Intel volunteers were part of this event.
Sadhvi Nishanka Bharti Ji, Representative DJJS briefed the participants about the organization and its social welfare programs. Akhand Gyan, the monthly magazine of DJJS, was gifted to Intel volunteers & the staff of Juvenile Home.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks and distribution of goodies to the children.
The event was reported in Rajasthan Patrika, the most widely circulated Hindi daily newspaper in Southern India. Smt. Divya Ji, DCPO, Bala Mandira expressed her gratitude towards Antarkranti and Intel to have taken up the much needed initiative for play- area development. Intel employees appreciated the work being done by Antarkranti and Bala Mandira for the welfare of society.
