Dehradun: youth acts as a foundation for any nation that emits the ray of hope for its betterment. Like a plant should be maintained properly in order to provide disinfected and healthy fruits, likewise youth; the basic unit of a nation must be protected, cared and educated.
A huge hit shattering this golden dream of having a prosperous nation is being grown up at an incessant rate limping our hopes and aspiration in India. This is none other than the problem of drug abuse, the third largest growing problem globally. It has reached to the bags and pockets of 80% of the students getting trained to lead a professional life at School & Colleges. Moreover, Lack of proper education regarding the ill effects of drug abuse is adding fuel to the fire. In order to provide the need of the hour, that is , prevention education Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the banner of Bodh the Drug Abuse Eradication Program of DJJS conducted a two hour workshop at Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School at Mousrrie, Uttarakhand.
Sadhvi Kamkhya Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and an expert on the subject took the workshop and through activities and various other interactive tools highlighted upon the several concepts related to drug abuse and its addiction. The primary focus of the workshop was to discourage the students for the first use of drugs, which they often opt for due to lack of information regarding its repercussions and pressures of the peers. All the staff along with management also attended the program and appreciated the efforts; Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is putting in order to curb the problem of drug abuse in India.
Bodh- the drug abuse eradication program of DJJS, works for the elimination of drug abuse and eradication of drug demand through ‘Dhyan Therapy’ , thereby transforming the drug afflicted society into an abuse free society ; where people are mentally, emotionally and spiritually strong to safeguard themselves and the society against drug addiction and substance abuse.
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is a multi-faceted socio-spiritual organization, founded and headed by His holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji to actualize the vision of ‘Global Peace, through Self- Awakening’. On social front, its primary focus remains on gender, health, education, environment, drug-abuse eradication, bovine conservation and empowerment of persons with disabilities and the prisoners.
