“Primary Eye Care Centre”(PEC), free weekly Eye care OPD clinic at Divya Dham Ashram, every Wednesday (9 am to 1 pm) is catering to the needy, economically underprivileged rural belt of 66 villages in and around Divya Dham Ashram, providing them quality Eye-care diagnosis and treatment by experts from Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS.
Patients with ophthalmic problems having operable ocular conditions are screened for Cataract surgery and then taken for free surgery at AIIMS; those with refractive errors to be provided spectacles at subsidized rates; & those having other eye problems to be given free medicines. Eye care services provided through camps based OPDs and PEC based OPDs from November 2011 till date
The Service Beneficiaries:
- Total patients screened = 6800 OPD cases treated
- Total patients prescribed & issued spectacles = 2707
Total patients operated for cataract = 851
