“It’s better to lend a hand than point a finger” an excerpt is efficaciously proved by Antarkranti, an initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the guidance of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Antarkranti conducted 3 days spiritual and motivational event in District Jail Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, from 27th to 29th January 2015.
During the program, the DJJS preachers Swami Gurgyananand, Swami Vigyananand, Swami Margdeepanand and Swami Haricharnanand JI enlightened the inmates with the view that “The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell and a hell of heaven”. The session focussed on how a person can develop the determination to discipline one’s life and to build a right and ethical character just by ameliorating the thoughts fostering in their mind.
The session was conducted in the Juvenile Ward on the first day with 65 Juveniles attending the program. On the subsequent days, the program was conducted in the Men ward with 280 and 250 men attending it respectively. The sessions focussed on the seriousness and the ways to deal with one of the most annihilating problem of today, “Drug Addiction”.
The sessions concluded with the valedictory assertions by Dr. Ramdhani, Jail Superintendent and cherished the selfless efforts of DJJS in making the event a success. He stated that BrahmGyan is the sole way of self-realization and even proposed Antarkranti to continue organizing such self-awakening programs from time to time.
