Raahgiri is a refreshing event that aims to reclaim the streets in our lives as social hubs. The main goal is to encourage people to celebrate their Sundays in an eco-friendly, fun and active way.

The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar presided as the chief guest at the event. Players like Olympian Manu Bhaker and Shivani Kataria, who have brought laurels to the country at the international level, were also present in the program. While addressing the youth of the city, CM said that “Raahgiri, which was started nine years ago, has created a history as 1.3 crore people, especially the youth, had participated in this program till now which is around half of Haryana’s  population.”

Team SAM played a crucial role in conceptualizing, creating, planning, and organizing interactive activities to encourage people to reclaim their streets for safer roads, cleaner air, increased physical activity and community building. The stall set by the Team was visited by the CM himself who appreciated SAM’s efforts in educating and transforming the youth of the nation.

The event attracted thousands of participants in Gurugram and received massive media coverage. Social media played an important role in acting as a driver to draw crowds and raise awareness to change perceptions of public space in India.
