SANSKARSHALA is one of its kind monthly workshops that are organized for children aged 4 to 12 years by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s (DJJS) holistic education program Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK). The theme for the SANSKARSHALA May 2024 workshop was in collaboration with the social initiative SANTULAN – the Gender Equality program of DJJS.

SANTULAN – the Gender Equality program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s (DJJS) is a social initiative dedicated to instilling a sense of responsibility towards gender justice and empowerment.

About 67 Santulan Sanskarshalas were conducted that benefited approximately 3791 children across all the DJJS branches both online and offline as well as in various schools in our country namely,

The workshops commenced with group shloka chanting and prayer led by DJJS Preachers and Manthan SVK volunteers, creating a serene atmosphere for the participating children. The sessions thrived with engaging activities such as group discussions, storytelling through captivating videos and dance making children learn to appreciate the strengths of both girls and boys, fostering respect and the importance of treating everyone equally. By delving into ancient cultural norms and exploring the role of women in Vedic times, the initiative sheds light on the evolution of gender dynamics where all individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society. On that note, the workshops concluded with the chanting of shanti mantra and prayers.
