Save Girl Child Save Humanity echoes across Madhya Pradesh


The deep-rooted social evils and myths in Indian ethos against girl child call for a revision. Forget about a woman, an unborn female fetus feels unsafe and unsure of her birth in a so-called independent and democratic society.

Noting the increased number of chauvinists and misogynists, DJJS, under the purview of its Gender equality initiative-Santulan, organized another sensitizing rally in Bina Tehsil, Sagar District, Madhya Pradesh on August 14, 2014 from 2 pm to 5 pm as a part of its awareness walks' series. The awareness walk against female feticide aimed at uniting the victims to combat evil thoughts and sick mindsets that are ruling the society today.

To raise voice for the attainment of the lost dignity of women and constitution of gender just society for them, approximately 116 ladies and 65 women participated in the rally. Holding the posters and stick banners, the attendees chanted slogans on their way to sensitize masses to the consequences of increase crime against women, female feticide owning the maximum share.

Embarking the walk from Katra Mandir, the rally covered Sarvodaya Choraha Station road, Gandi tiraha, Mahavir chowk, Itawa bazaar on its route.

Smt. Sadhna Sahu-owner of Bajaj showroom, Bina and Sunita Rai Mahila Morcha member were the guest of honor in the event. The guests and attendees committed their support to the organization's initiative to save girl child.
