DJJS Sanrakshan, under the guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, founder and head of DJJS, for almost a decade now has been organising cleanliness drives across the country as a public mobilizing tool for pro- environmental action. The idea is not to take a band of volunteers and clean an area but it is to inspire the locals to engage in pro- environmental action thereby rebuilding the fading human- nature relationship and ensuring  nature conservation in long run.

Wielding the brooms, men, women and swami preachers of DJJS Mahrashtra, spent their Gandhi Jayanti holiday, cleaning the surroundings of the famous temple and inspiring the locals to shoulder their responsibility for maintaining cleanliness around the place of their worship. Before starting the cleanliness drive, DJJS volunteers went door to door to call upon locals to join them in the drive. Motivated by the enthusiasm and dedication of these volunteers several locals joined them in the drive.
