Shri Gowri Ganesha Festival was celebrated by DJJS Bangalore at Divya Jyoti Dhyan Mandir, Hesaraghatta Road, Bangalore. The importance of Gowri Ganesha Festival with gyan based was explained through Spiritual discourses and melodious Gowri-Ganesha, Guru bhajans were sung by Veeranna Swamy Bhajan Mandali, Peenya .  More than 200 people participated in the program.  Ganesh Pooja or Mahamangal Aarti was done during Madhyanhana on Ganesh Chaturthi as it is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Madhyahana Kaal.

Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated in honour of the god Ganesha, the elephant-headed, remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings and wisdom. Ganpati, the god of wisdom and the benevolent deity of the dynasty of Peshwas who ruled Maharashtra inculcate a special culture in the state. Ganpati is the herald of auspicious beginnings.

The pandals were decorated specially for the festival, either by using decorative items like flower garlands, lights, etc. or are theme based decorations, which depict religious theme. Coconut, jaggery, modaksdurva (trefoil) blades of grass and red flowers were offered during the Aarti. Vedic hymns were also enchanted by the disciples of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
