One of the Lord’s grace on mankind is the opportunity to enunciate Lord’s divine play and remember him for his actions. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is a non-profit, socio-spiritual organization founded and headed by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Under the guidance of our loved Gurudev, Shri Krishna Katha was hosted in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan from 25th to 31st January 2017. The spiritual event began with bhajans depicting emotions of submission towards god and made devotees dance with joy and excitement.
Shri Krishna Katha was elucidated by the disciple Sadhvi Saumya Bharti Ji. She informed the devotees about the divine plays performed by Krishna throughout his life. The story began with prediction given by Dev to Kans that how Lord will incarnate on Planet Earth and end his cruelty. Life of Krishna was far from ordinary. He took birth at about midnight in a jail in Mathura but was secretly shifted soon to Gokul. This infant-God killed huge and the most powerful demoness Putana. He didn’t just kill her but gave her his blessing for offering milk to him, representing the supreme act of maternal devotion. After her, he killed lots of monsters and all of these killings evidenced huge lessons behind them which were explained by the learned Sadhvi Ji.
God incarnates on earth to end evil and show love to his devotees and the same was done by Kanahaiya. He used to play with gopals and teased all the gopis of the town. He not only used to steal butter but the hearts of everyone around. Even Brahma couldn’t understand the simplicity and divine love Krishna had for gopis and gopals. He was known by different names like he was named Giridhar when he held Govardhan mountain on his little finger and saved the people of the town from the torrential rains and flood created by Lord Indra. He was called Mohan as he used to attract every being. Nandlal and Vasudev were the names given to him after his father’s name. All the plants and animals used to get hypnotized when he used to play flute and with the sonorous melody emanating from it.
But one day he had to leave his childhood home to kill Kans who was inflicting pain by his monstrous deeds. Yashoda Ma couldn’t sleep that night by the thought of losing Krishna. That night Krishna blessed his mother with Brahm Gyan and told her that she might not see Krishna with open eyes but from now on she can see the Lord in Sadhana anytime. Brahm Gyan is the self-realization technique to own the practical vision of God. It is the tool to transform one’s selfish self to selfless being. This technique can only be taught by the Perfect Master just like Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
Krishna left Vrindavan and dethroned Kans by killing him. He established his rule in Mathura and relieved people of the miseries. He fought numerous battles against evil throughout his lifetime. He made Pandavas win Mahabharata battle by guiding them through path of truth. He left his body and it is believed that he resides in Bhagwat Mahapurana as such it is also known as Shabad rupi pratima. Katha was a huge success as it made the mammoth gathering understand the importance of being blessed with Brahm Gyan in their lives.
