Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the blessed guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and Head of DJJS), held a spiritually uplifting Shri Ram Katha at Dhilwan, Punjab. The five-day Katha organized from 26th to 30th October 2022 garnered the presence of people from various age groups. The Katha orator Sadhvi Shachi Bharti Ji beautifully underlined the positive effects of having a forgiving nature like Shri Ram.

Shri Ram Katha Conveyed the Message of Universal Brotherhood at Dhilwan, Punjab

Sadhvi Ji said that today the need for universal brotherhood is vital because what we see around us are the adverse effects of human selfishness. Not just fellow humans but nature deserves our gentle and caring behavior too. Otherwise, we stand to lose this delightful world. For this purpose, we all need to foster a kind frame of mind like Shri Ram's.

Shri Ram embodied a rare forgiving nature. For example, just a day before his coronation as the King of Ayodhya, his stepmother Kaikeyi demanded fourteen years of exile into the forest for him. In his place, Shri Ram's younger brother Bharat should be crowned the King. Shri Ram accepted his mother's demand without a single question. He did not hold a grudge against either his mother or his brother.

On another occasion, Shri Ram exhibited his compassionate nature again when Vibhishan sought refuge in him. Vibhishan was the demon king Ravana's brother. Ravana had kidnapped Shri Ram's wife, Devi Sita. However, instead of holding Vibhishan accountable for the wrong deed of his brother Ravana, Shri Ram didn't even say any bad words. Instead, Shri Ram accepted Vibhishan as his friend.

Today, we may say that Shri Ram had a forgiving heart primarily because he was a divine incarnation of God. However, Sadhvi Ji highlighted that Shri Ram's life is an example of how we can still lead a life of ethics. We also can have a forgiving outlook, provided we are in constant connection with the divine like Shri Ram. Shri Ram was initiated into the science of divine knowledge, i.e., Brahm Gyan, by the true spiritual teacher of his time Guru Rishi Vashisht.

Sadhvi Ji, concluding the Katha, urged the audience to search for a true Guru to start their spiritual journey and become serene like Shri Ram. Only inner tranquility, achieved by being in contact with the divine, can help us create world peace. DJJS welcomes all seekers to embark on a life-transforming spiritual journey. The audience appreciated DJJS's endeavours in making the world peaceful.
