Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) which is working under the guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) is determined to work for the fulfilment of its vision, “From Self Awakening to Global Peace”.
Taking a step forward in this direction, DJJS recently organized 5 days Shri Ram Katha in Ludhiana, Punjab from 28th December, 2016 to 1st January, 2017. Large number of devotees attended this peaceful and spiritual discourse. Several dignitaries were present at this event.
Katha began with the chanting of 'Rudri Paath' which filled the surrounding with beatific vibes. Prayerful and soulful bhajans were also sung. Devotional songs are known to calm the mind and help to attain peace within. The listeners could be seen absorbed in the pure and inspiring aura.
The Katha Orator, Sadhvi Saumya Bharti Ji (disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji) narrated the Katha with admirable control on the topics. She elaborated that “Shri Rama was the symbol of courtesy and virtue, a divine soul of values and morals. He was noble, generous, chivalrous and fearless. It is difficult to find a comparable example as for His extraordinary character, and he resembled Dasaratha as for his admirable qualities. He never spoke untruth, He offered all respect to the learned and the elderly; the people adored him, and He loved the people. Rama and Sita have been leaders and role models of character for many thousands of generations.
The entire humankind adored Rama, who possessed all virtues. He was indomitable, brave, and was the unequalled Lord of all. To put it succinctly, Sri Rama's life was a life of holy compliance, of stainless purity, of matchless simplicity, praiseworthy contentment, commendable self-sacrifice and remarkable renunciation. Lord Rama, in the words of Swami Vivekananda, is "the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, and above all, the ideal king".”
The purpose of the Katha was to awaken people at the level of their consciousness and guide them about the real art of spirituality (Bhakti) and peace through Self awakening. The learned Sadhvi stated that “to bring a change in the world, the change needs to be triggered in its basic unit, i.e. human being. For the change to be wholesome and non-relapsing, it has to sprout at the root level of complete human personality – Inner Self (Soul). No intellectual knowledge or outside methodologies suffice in bringing a transformation in individual’s action and behavioral pattern. The soul must be awakened.”
As has been proclaimed by all our Scriptures in unison, this awakening is possible only through the Divine Knowledge, the eternal science of Brahm Gyan which can be attained by the blessings of a Perfect Spiritual Mentor. Self-Awakening (Brahm Gyan) is the only tool that can uproot in its wake all social evils and threats. This epoch is fortunate to have such a revered Perfect Spiritual Master - Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who has not just mastered this rare science of Brahm Gyan but has also revealed it and made it reachable to masses which is again rare or may be for the first time in the history of humankind. The spiritual session generated awareness about the real essence of bhakti which is the tangible procedure to bring global peace by transforming an individual from within. Shri Ram Katha thus delivered the message of spirituality and peace making it a great success.
