Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the divine guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and Head, DJJS), held a five-day soul-soothing Shri Ram Katha from 17th to 21st October 2022 at Ludhiana, Punjab. The melodious devotional songs and enchanting narration of the life episodes of Shri Ram by Sadhvi Shachi Bharti Ji moved the hearts of the huge audience. The audience applauded the socio-spiritual efforts of DJJS.
Sadhvi Ji asked the present audience whether Shri Ram is worshipped today because he is God incarnate on earth or the path of virtue and empathy he followed throughout his life. Sadhvi Ji said that the answer is both. yet more importantly, the course of action Shri Ram took in every testing situation is exemplary for us. His entire life stands testimony to the fact that we all can lead righteous life even while being human. We all are aware of the slippery side of human nature. But if darkness resides in us, then so does divine light. It is all a matter of choice, and Shri Ram’s every action shows us that goodness comes when we choose divine light over darkness.
The biggest lesson we all can learn from Shri Ram is not to act hastily in any situation or to blame others for misfortune. Instead, remain calm and act responsibly so that each deed benefits the world. For example, whether it was following the order of his mother Kaikeyi or fighting the demon King Ravana, Shri Ram remained serene within. The source of Shri Ram’s inner serenity was his constant connection with the divine. The true spiritual teacher of that era, Guru Vashisht had initiated Shri Ram into the ancient Indian sacred technique of Brahm Gyan (divine knowledge).
The knowledge of Brahm Gyan can be attained by anyone even today. This sacred knowledge is sustained by the tradition of true spiritual teachers (a Guru) to this day. All we need is the grace and guidance of a Guru, for only a true spiritual Master can bestow upon us divine knowledge. Bringing the Katha to a close, Sadhvi Ji highlighted that today’s world requires peace more than anything else. Without peace, there can be no true happiness or growth. Since only the actions of enlightened people can bring peace to the world, we all must find a true Guru and begin our spiritual journey at the earliest. In this regard, DJJS will forever have its door open to all seekers of Truth.
