Impossible itself says that “I am Possible”. Students of Manthan SVK, DJJS are a true epitome for this statement. For these students, “Sky is not the limit”. While overcoming their routine struggles, they are trying to reach on par with the society’s growth status. They are continuously proving themselves through their courage, hard work, zeal and efforts.
SOTY (Speaker of the year) is one such competition organized by the Mevrik Venture’s Global Youth Forum every year wherein around 250 esteemed schools of India including NGOs participate. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s social initiative for the education of underprivileged children Manthan- Sampoorna Vikas is consecutively participating for the third time in the global competition. SOTY theme of the year 2016-17 is Bharat Positive. For Manthanites, the first round of competition after the rigorous practice sessions was held on 20th December 2017 at Manthan SVK, Shakurpur, New Delhi. 30 students from different centers of Manthan SVKs Delhi-NCR branches are part of the event this year. In the pre-finals, the level of students was judged through the series of sessions like: Speak Shoot and Personal Interview where the students presented their unique ideas on making Bharat Positive. The interviewers from SOTY team were highly impressed to witness the bright new ideas presented by Manthanites in a very zealous and confident gesture. Shortlisting the students for the Genius Badge award became a herculean task for the team as all 30 participants from Manthan SVK were highly expressive, unique and innovative while presenting their ideas. Manthan SVK is proud to say that 11 Manthanites from different categories, i.e. Kids champ; Junior, champ, High school champ and senior champ bagged the Genius Badge Award while all other students received the participating certificates.
The grand Finale of the global competition is expected to be held in February at the National Science Center, New Delhi. We wish the students the all very best and hope to bring laurels to the program. Manthan SVK, DJJS is highly thankful to the teachers and volunteers for their selfless dedication towards making this project a success.
