If we take a look a few decades back, people were relatively devoid of comforts and resources as we have today. In present societal structure advancements are such that everything is available on finger tips yet with the increasing resources and ease, day to day hustle is multiplying as well. The reason is every person is engulfed with multitude of activities, targets and desires. This type of approach towards life has resulted in increasing cases of anxiety, depression and stress. In earlier times people worked hard during the day but incorporated time for meals, prayers, etc. as result a relaxed state of mind would fulfill the extra energy required for strenuous situations.
So how to save oneself from the trap of stress in given circumstances today? Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, a socio-spiritual organization working under the guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a lecture addressing this issue on 2nd April, 2019 at Modern Education College, Annadale, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh). Preacher Sadhvi Om Prabha Bharti Ji, renowned speaker on Stress Management, Wellness Workshops, Personality Development, Women Empowerment, Youth Development, Corporate Sector Seminars, and National and International Level Conferences delivered yet another prodigious and insightful session.
Sadhvi ji took audience on the tour of our rich Indic history which suggests that there had been rather more treacherous and daunting situations faced by our country people. And, yet they demonstrated exceptional mental stability and strength in such challenging situations;as was in case of Chandragupta Maurya- disciple of Chanakaya during the corrupt and brutal reign of Nanda dynasty and also attack by Alexandra. Also, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was engaged in both alliances and hostilities with the Mughal Empire as well as British colonial powers and yet established a competent and progressive civil rule with well-structured administrative organisations. History is brimming with many such examples.
Sadhvi ji further explained what they possessed was not just modern science, psychological or physical remedies with high relapse rate but the power of an awakened soul with the help of Science of Self-realization (Brahm Gyan). She said how a situation is perceived is all dependent on mind and our Vedic idea professes a golden middle path for mind- a state of equilibrium. An indifferent mind which is neither joyful nor sorrowful, neither hopeful nor fearful. Such state is achieved only when the soul takes the charge, which is a storehouse of wisdom. Every thought, before being manifested in the form of action, when filtered through wisdom gets rectified and purified. Regular practice of meditation of Brahm Gyan, which is achieved only by the grace of Perfect Master, flips over any incoming signals of stress with divine rays of soul. This is the only technique which carries a person from the whimsies of mind to the abode of everlasting spiritual serenity.
