Teachers who are rightly titled as facilitators are an integral part of the education system. It is well stated that a good teacher is a doctor who heals ignorance and an artist who inspires creativity. A teacher plants the seed of knowledge, sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams.

Though the facilitators at Manthan - Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK), the holistic education program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan are self-motivated and always charged up with full zeal and enthusiasm, Manthan SVK wished to express gratitude and respect towards its teachers by presenting them with a day full of new experiences, spirited feelings, divine touch and of course lots of surprises . Henceforth, “The Teachers’ Day Out” to Divya Dham Ashram was planned for around 60 teachers and volunteers of Delhi-NCR on 23rd September 2017.

The day kick- started early morning at 6 am with sharing of Manthan SVK Jackets followed by a ceremonial Tilak as everyone paid their humble salutations in the lotus feet of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji’s stance.

The intricate Rangolis’ decorated with flowers filled the whole ambience with colors and concord. This excursion included a whole new experience for the teachers as they were given a tour to the Kamdhenu Gaushala, the Yagyashala and various other divine spots at Divya Dham. A Selfie with the Calf in Kamdhenu Gaushala was the foremost itinerary wherein the teachers hugged the calves and clicked the selfies. This activity was well framed as “Child Care to Cow Care - a new service a new experience. Thereafter, a Havan ceremony was organized wherein teachers paid oblations of divine incensory in the holy yagya kund with a prayer to overcome the darkness of ignorance with the Light of Knowledge.  After the havan ceremony, teachers experienced yet another different and divine moments through the Gaushala Sewa which was titled asManthan Shikshikayein Bani Gau Sevikayein”. The teachers cleaned the cow dung, wiped the dust with broom and water, cleaned the eating areas of the cows, washed the calves and made the cow dung cakes as well. These were the most enjoyable for the teachers who said that, earlier we were skeptical about this Sewa but how we touched the cow dung and swiped the area is even unbelievable to us.

Thereafter these Gau Sevikayein headed towards a delicious breakfast of traditional cuisine followed with a Tea Cup Quiz.  Amidst the slow rainfall, teachers then enjoyed visiting the duck ponds and the camels. The teachers were then shown the video presentation of the  glimpses of Teacher’s Day 2016 followed by the motivational video showcasing glimpses of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. After the inspirational doses, Sadhvi Deepa Bharti, Program Coordinator Manthan SVK, DJJS briefed the teachers on Daan Utsav celebration to be held from 2nd Oct to 8th Oct. During the session, teachers enthusiastically did the UNselfie Activity wherein there contributions and commitments were artistically mentioned along with an appeal on the chart paper which were then clicked as an UNselfie to be broadcasted as #UNselfie # Daan Utsav # Giving Tuesday on various social media platforms. The secretary DJJS Swami Narendranand Ji thereafter addressed the whole gathering and motivated and commended the teachers for their works and efforts at Manthan SVK centers.

The finale sessions took the teachers to yet other surprises, as they then visited Shri Guru Maharaj Ji’s Cottage. After few minutes of meditation, the teachers were distributed the Gifts as the token of love.  Now the last surprise for the teachers was to receive their Printed Photographs which were clicked early morning at the selfie - corner with the calves. Followed by a group photograph of the teachers, volunteers, staff and preachers, the teachers said adieu with everlasting memories, zenith of positive energy and motivation and with a renewed resolve to give back to the society in the best of their capabilities.
