In the contemporary world, the notion which is favored over others is that the focus of human life should be the acquisition of wealth and spiritual endeavors must be left for the old age. In contrast, Shri Krishna in the Eleventh Canto of the Bhagavata Mahapuran, unequivocally, states that human life has limited time, and hence, it is important to have the overall development. This calls for a holistic approach in which the human works by bringing in a balance between different aspects of his being, i.e., mind-body-soul, rather than acquiring comfort for his/her body alone. Such an approach is possible through a combination of divine knowledge of and divine love for the universal consciousness. It is this approach which Sadhvi Kalindi Bharti Ji as the Katha orator explained during the seven days Shrimad Bhagwat Katha held by DJJS at SBS Nagar, Punjab from 31st March to 6th April 2019.

Sadhvi Ji stated that without an inner anchor, the human will ever be restless and dissatisfied even after possessing rarest of rare materialistically objects. This will remain the case as long as the focus of the human endeavor is exterior. However, everything becomes satisfactory the moment human’s focus shifts to achieving inner peace. With the focus on spiritual growth comes the wisdom to live a life of balance and not extremes. This can happen when a human decides to become self-aware. Here, it must be noted that without the grace of a true spiritual Master (Guru), such an act will lack the sense of a direction. Further, this isn’t something which Sadhvi Ji alone believes but is mentioned in the ancient sacred texts of India as well.

Shri Krishna narrates ‘the story of avadhuta Brahmin’ to Uddhava. The Brahmin revealed to the King Yadu the importance of Diksha Guru. A Diksha Guru initiates the seeker onto the path of spirituality by opening the latter’s third eye. With this, the seeker is able to readily connect with and tap into the divine within. This entire process is regarded in the sacred texts as Brahm Gyan. Through this process, a human unlocks the true purpose of life on earth and with the constant guidance of his/her Guru embarks on a journey which eventually leads to harmony and all-round success. However, this process isn’t an outward magic but based on science. This science hinges on the activation of the pineal gland situated in the brain behind the forehead. Only a knowledgeable person can initiate another person into this science and such a person is called Guru. Hence, Sadhvi Ji, while concluding the Katha, requested and invited the present audience to walk the path of spirituality with DJJS for His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is one of the true Gurus of the present era.
