A unique rally which was flagged off by Sh. Narayan Dutt Sharma- MLA , Badarpur, Sh. Praveen Yadav - President, Resident Welfare Association, Meethapur, Sh. Hari Nagar, B.D Singh - Social Worker was organized in the much effected area ‘Meethapur’ in Faridabad, Haryana.
Seeing the pitiful condition of the addicts and the drug users, the youth population of Meethapur unitedly clubbed hands with Bodh, (The Drug Abuse Eradication Program) of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji to plan and organize a rally on the issue of drug addiction in the Village.
The rally energetically passed through meethapur chowk, tank road, Aggarwal Dharamshala, Aggarwal Sweets, Luv Kush Chowk & finally culminated at Meethapur chowk.
Addressing the participants towards the conclusion of the rally, MLA of Badarpur Sh. Narayan Dutt Sharma said, “We try to create awareness amongst the public through this rally on the ill-effects of drug abuse and illicit trafficking. It is a part of an exercise to muster support of the youth in preventing the menace.”
Sh. B. D. Sharma, a renowned socialist strongly urged people to desist from using drugs harmful to health. An exhibition was also organized on the topic of drug abuse and illicit trafficking and an awareness was further created by means of collective walk along with various sensitizing performances based on the nukkad naatak during the rally. With 310 enthusiastic volunteers, more than 5,000 people got benefitted from the program.
