Under the ongoing project “Baatcheet” in Chowkha Village, a one day workshop was organized at Future Kids School, Chowkha by the Jodhpur branch of Divya Jyoti Jagarti Sansthan. This workshop aimed to prevent the first time use of drugs amongst children, the most vulnerable age group to the problem of drug abuse.
Taking into consideration the ever exploring and inquisitive mindset of children, the facilitator of Bodh, Sadhvi Sidhyoga Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and also an expert in the field of child psychology, commenced the session with a series of activities that not only guided the children about the negative effects of experimenting with things about which they have little or no knowledge but also encouraged them to stay away from such things, specially drugs like alcohol, cigarette, pan masala etc.. Later, Sadhvi Usha Bharti Ji in her lecture, discussed the basic dilemma that children face, i.e. “How to differentiate between the Good and the Bad” in order to help the children take right decision at the right time. On knowing the benefits of a Drug Free Life, children along with their teachers pledged to stay away from Drugs and live a “Drug Free Life”.
In the end, Sadhvi Ji, had an in detail discussion with the principal about the measures that can be taken by school authorities to tackle this problem amongst children. The suggestions kept by her on the same were highly appreciated by the principal who assured their implementation in the school at the earliest.
