Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the banner of its social initiative Manthan SVK instituted another (6th) Adult Literacy Center- ‘Syahi’ on 18th April, 2018 in B-42, Bagdola Village, Vivekanand Marg, Opposite Mother Dairy, Sector-8, Dwarka, New Delhi. To enliven the vision of Sakshar Bharat- Sashakt Bharat, Manthan SVK is incessantly working towards helping adult scholars to gain literacy skills, which will undoubtedly help in improving literacy rate of India, reducing gender discrimination and poverty, will boost confidence in the women scholars, and also will advance the human rights around the world.

In this drive, Rotaract Club of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi University, has contributed by providing the smart learning setup at the center. 15 women have been enrolled in this literacy course session. Hundreds of women who were deprived of their education rights in their childhood are now proud literates, who now understand the banking process, can easily commute from one place to another, are able to keep a check on their kid’s academics and understand the importance of education in one’s life which was earlier a herculean task for them. Many of them have now access to jobs and now able to tackle issues related to domestic violence and discrimination in much better and mature ways.
